Announcing my first book, Beyond Inheritance
Your body is mutating as you read this.
Almost exactly six years ago, I wrote an article that went against the scientific consensus at the time and made the assertion that the virus causing Covid could be airborne. Many of you began following my writing because of that. But what most people don’t know is that around then I began working on another, completely different message I wanted to share. It’s so important that I decided to spend that last few years writing a book about it. The crux of it is this: Your DNA is not static and unchanging. Each day of your life, there are countless mutations that are accumulating inside your cells.
Most people aren’t aware that this is happening, yet this profound insight is already reshaping medical care.
My first book, BEYOND INHERITANCE: Our Ever-Mutating Cells and a New Understanding of Health, comes out on April 21st. You can pre-order it now to arrive at your door in a few weeks via Amazon (here), Barnes & Noble (here), Bookshop (here), and Books-A-Million (here). I also narrate the audiobook.
Why write an entire book about mutation? Because I need you to know about it as you try to make sense of your health and that of your family. There’s a sea-change in how experts talk about the human body. Scientists now recognize that new DNA errors acquired in early development all the way until our last breath can drive heart attacks, autoimmunity, autism, Alzheimer’s disease, cancer and virtually every other ailment. It could even be the missing piece in explaining why we age. BEYOND INHERITANCE also makes the case that certain mutations can be essential for good health and sometimes be lifesaving. But the book doesn’t just explain these scientific insights, it tells the stories of patients whose lives have been transformed by our new appreciation that DNA is dynamic. Here’s the cover:

BEYOND INHERITANCE has already received praise. This is what one of my heroes Bill Nye (“The Science Guy”) had to say when he read it:
I’ll have more to share in the weeks ahead, but for now, I hope you’ll consider pre-ordering my book. I can’t wait to hear what you think.
Looking forward to your thoughts,
Roxanne
P.S. If you have a friend who is interested in health and DNA, please pass on the word!
